New Year!!

Well it is official. Marvin now has his drivers permit. He realizes not that it is reality that driving can be nerve racking. He was a little nervous at first but is now getting better each day.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful 2009. I have made a few promises to myself that are going to happen this year. I just have to stay on track. So far the new year is treating my family and me well. I just returned from volunteering at the Rodd Field Run and was very proud of all that participated. Maybe next year I will be running with them. I am going to close for now. Hope to see you all on here again soon.

Love,
April

growing up

Yesterday I found out that I can not teach my son the parent taught drivers education because I have not had a Texas drivers license long enough. So now we have to send him to a drivers school. I guess I can deal with that. But when it really sank in was when I called the insurance company to get a quote when I put him on our car insurance with his permit. Wow they grow up way too fast. He is turning into quite a young man. At least I think so. LOL!!!

So watch out in the next few months and stay off of the sidewalks. Just kidding! For the next year, at least, I will be in the passenger seat.

Wish me luck!!

Til next post!

Struggles in life

Well, we all have struggles in life. We just have to remember to to give it to God. That alone is one of my biggest struggles. Some of our struggles are small and others very large. One particular incident that comes to mind is a bible study that I went to recently. At one point during that class I felt that I had wronged God. From that point on for the rest of the evening, I "struggled" with the idea. Along with that we were discussing forgiveness and our pasts. Well that opened up a lot of wounds. I cried and I prayed. That evening at home, I couldn't wait for everyone to go to bed so that I could be alone with God. For the first time since the conference, I had my "quiet" time with God. It felt so good. I felt so much better after I dropped to my knees and prayed to God to forgive me. I know he forgave me because he is an awesome God.

I want you all to remember each other this week and just take a minute to pray for your sisters in Christ. We all need to be lifted up in prayer. I love you all dearly!! Thanks for allowing me to post and get things off of my chest. I also would like to praise God for all that he does!!!

Our new home

Well, after changing our plans three different times, God made it possible for us to move into our new house. It is so great. We just love it. I can even park in the garage. That is a plus. Once I finally get all of the boxes unpacked, i can sit back, relax and enjoy this new blessing. Come by any time and I would be happy to give you a tour. Can't wait to see you all this weekend because I know you are all going to Living the Life Conference. Great things are going to happen there! Please keep the speakers and the band in your prayers. So many lives will be touched by all their hard work and dedication.

Until next time!! Love you all!!!!
